Therapy is meant to honor your experiences and identities.

Traditional counseling has a long history of pathologizing, dismissing, and being ignorant to the lived experience of marginalized people. Maybe you've seen a counselor before who didn't get it or made you feel your experience was too "complex" or, even worse, made you feel judged or shamed about aspects of who you are. That's not okay and you deserve support that uplifts and empowers you because of (not in spite of) your identities.

Intersectionality is what creates our strength.

Every person has a unique constellation of identities they were born with, acquired, and built. Those aspects of yourself are important to how you will recover from obstacles and how you will direct and focus your life. At the beginning of our process together we will identify your existing strengths, capabilities, passions, and values to guide our work together.

We heal and find strength in community.

I think we are seeing today the results of hyper-individualism and our disconnect from relationship with self and others. As we work to bring you more into alignment with yourself, we will also explore how to bring your authenticity into the world. Fostering and building relationship makes us all stronger and more resilient.

Let's get started...

It can be a bit scary, but with the right support and encouragement, we are all capable of growth and change! If you're ready to get started, check my Contact Me page to see my current availability and schedule a consultation.
